My mother's recent funeral was a good, dignified, respectful affair and I didn't feel that they were rushing it. They have a rule that you may only leave natural flowers next to a plaque and they must be in one of the vases they provide. These have spikes so that they can be stuck into the ground and won't get blown over by the wind. The vase will still be unstable if the flowers are too tall. You may need to bring secateurs and cut the stems.
Both parents went through them, the staff are good and well trained. Funeral insurance is useful so long it doesn't mature. Mum had a service which was good but they put pressure on you and limit the time you have to speak. Rushed was the feeling I got but staff were good. For Dad we did an unattended cremation, it went well but they returned his ashes with his name spelt incorrectly??? In this hype emotion business, where you pay 1000's for service I find this inexcusable and sloppy at best. No reply to my email as yet. Feel ripped off.
We engaged Creightons for my fathers funeral. Delina assisted, she gave advice along the way and never tried to oversell the many gimmicks that prevail in this industry. The service was held at Greenway Memorial Chapel, we booked a double time service which we needed as there were long tributes and a full RSL Service. All the staff on the day were very helpful, We used there suggested Celebrant Graham Crossing, he was also professional & helpful with an eye for detail.
I cannot fault their service at all. My Grandad has been here for many years and, recently my Nana sadly joined him. The surroundings are beautiful, but bittersweet. Our thanks to Kim who kept us up to date through all the process and even rang a few days later to see how were holding up. Thanks also to the gentleman who conducted the service possibly Graham, I'm not sure though.
