During my whole road trip, this camp ground was my favourite. The area is first come first serve for a site. We visited here on Good Friday and we just got a spot late in the afternoon. From the camp ground there is a river through the bushes, clean water nice for a swim. Family friendly and all facilities. In the whole site there are 3 sinks for washing dishes, one of them is hot water (sink on the left). Shower times are limited to 3 min cut off. Once the shower session has finished there is a 2min wait time where to water shuts off. Plan your showers, I know that the mens toilets have 3 showers. So it can get busy.

Good toilet block with potable water, camping for tents, camper trailers and vans, some sites on sloping ground. Rangers on site. River good for water activities + walking tracks.

Great area for a picnic and swim. There's a playground and toilets. The Cotter Dam Discovery Walk is worth going on. Takes you close to the dam wall and along the river. Great information signs about the history of the area and the dam.

Nice place to have a picnic with the whole family... it has shallow water creek where nicely maintained clear water which spills from the cotter dam... plenty of electric BBQ slots are available for the crowd but you have to take your own garbage bags to take your leftovers. There is a kids play area with monkey bars to entertain the kids. BUT NO WORKING MOBLIE NETWORKS IN THE AREA. So you won't be able to keep in touch with the rest of the world once you reach...

Swimming BBQ facilities great for a picnic, the main free swimming creek people in Canberra visit during summer. Camping site. Good for motorcycles and sightseeing also
