Officially 4wd only, you'd be fine in a AWD. No water tank but there is a small still pond for water.
Lovely spot! Great spot to rest the legs before finishing the 18km hike to Mt Coree or to park the car and walk 3km to Mt Coree. Couple of picnic tables + places to light a small fire. Small toilet also onsite.
My brother and I went camping here, but it was awful, only because of our poor planing. It rained heavy we couldn’t start a fire, tent leaked and it took awhile to find too. There’s no signs pointing the way and no reception. But I would go back on a sunny day and better prepared. All in all a nice place away from society
In August 2020 the campground was comfortably accessible in dry weather in a 2WD on dirt roads that were well maintained. There didn't appear to be a huge number of camp sites, and the ground was a little undulating, but you can find flat parts for tents. A sign indicated camp fires were permitted in designated areas. Drop toilets were quite new. Very quiet location in thick bush.
Good little spot. Can be accessed with AWD like others have said but take it slow.
Nice spot for morning tea Restrooms: Drop toilet Il
Nice place to take the kids, go for a light 4x4 up coree or a walk to the top, does get a bit busy on weekends
Plenty of space to set up camp. Do not need a 4x4 to access.
Nice campground. The Mt Coree road is the best thing to drive though.
Lovely spot if you have a 4wd to get there.
