My favourite place to swim in the Canberra region. The place does get busy when it is very hot - unsurprisingly. The area is neat and there has been a relatively recent upgrade to the shore line with the construction of a board. Whilst busy during a hot day, it is always lovely and relaxed at dusk. Be warned though that telephone reception is non-existent down there. A+++

It's probably one of the most popular fishing spots on the river but very convenient for all all levels of ability good spot for teaching as long as you don't mind waiting until after dark as swimming rules the water in day light hours

Really quite nice on a lazy Sunday afternoon, but don't expect a beach. The water flows constantly so it isn't dirty, but it isn't clear either. On a really hot day the water is at a perfect temperature, and there's plenty of shade too. I wouldn't leave kids unattended, but there's no dangerous wildlife or rapids or anything like that. Take an inflatable, a nice book and enjoy. Plenty of parking also.

Great place to go with family and friend's. Heaps for kids to do - swim, cricket, soccer, footy, frisbee, BBQ, park and yabbies to catch. Overall a fun day for the whole family
