Originally built in 1905, Condel Inn is centrally located in Bendigo CBD and offers self contained accommodation for up to 10 people.
Historically, this property draws local significance for its association with the engineer and appears to have been always owned by locally prominent businessmen.
John Jeffrey, a carrier, purchased the crown allotments from Mary Sullivan and had the house built in 1905.
He sold the property to Huntly Shire Secretary and Engineer, Alexander Fulton in 1915. Fulton owned and occupied the residence until after 1922.
William JJ Ellis purchased and renovated the residence, which increased its value from £45 to £60. Ellis, a butcher, occupied the residence until after 1930 and then leased it to Dr JR Phillips, a physician.
George N Raines, lived here from at least 1940 until 1962.
From 1962 to 2010 it was the family home of John and Norma Kellow.
In 2013, after several years of renovating, it has been made available as a quality Bed and Breakfast.
