Story

The Schaller Studio is a tribute to Australian contemporary artist Mark Schaller. As founding member of Roar Studios, he is no stranger to pushing boundaries, so is the perfect person to lead us on our new adventure.

Inspired by Schaller’s own working studio, The Schaller Studio is the place for quiet reflection and creative work. With original artworks in every Workspace (room), an eight metre high mosaic on the exterior of the hotel and large scale sculptures littered across the landscaped gardens, you can immerse yourself completely in the creative process.

Boasting 128 workspaces, The Schaller Studio combines Art Series Hotels’ signature comforts with the latest in technology, including 46” TVs, coffee pod machines, free WIFI, wireless docking stations, Art Series Signature beds, luxe EVO products, mini bars full of local produce and outdoor balconies on every room.

Beyond the Workspaces, The Schaller Studio offers massive edgy communal spaces filled with art journals, books and art utensils, an art channel, onsite restaurant The Pantry, offering food for thought and grazing type meals, helping fuel your creativity. If looking to venture further afield, hop on a classic Dutch yellow Lekker bicycle, scooter or Smart Car.

The room was smaller than expected, however, very clean and had everything we needed.nThe cafe at the reception areas was cozy.nThe location was very convenient with and with parking spaces. Overall, a very good place to stay and good value of money.
Rooms are tiny but functional. Super noisy floors so you can hear the footsteps in the rooms above if you are on level 1/2.nThe breakfast is from their cafe which is limited but more annoying is the food smell which is everywhere in the hotel - corridors and rooms. There must be no proper fans in the cafe.nThe double blinds in the room are basic and not functional as they give no privacy from the car park and street. The blinds actually fell down 2 nights on the trot and eventually they just removed one !nGreat shower!nService is ok. The front desk kept ringing for check in as we were late arrivals but still ahead of when they close reception at 9pm. Nothing is open after 8.30pm.nNo pleasant engagement from any of the team except the lovely cleaner.The cafe team present particularly unhappy. Young , inexperienced team members taking orders at very busy morning times.nOverall , it’s ok. Basic , functional if you love the smell from the cafe in the corridors and rooms.
Oh my gosh. So exceeded my expectations. I travel alot for work and this was by far THE best experience on all fronts.nThe staff...THE staff. Should be commended on their service and just beyond happy demeanour.nThe shower!!! The pressure!! Just what I needed.nSo many great stand puts and made travelling that bit less laborious and uninviting.nThanks guys. Would recommend in a heartbeat. Won't stay anywhere else for work now!
The location of this hotel is great, being within walking distance or short drive the city and its attractions. Its beautiful foyer boasts some work and greenery which is modern and bright. The rooms I rented was for a single person and was small but have what you need. Great for a short few night stay and well priced in my opinion. The only thing I’d say could be worked on is sound proofing the rooms or hallways as I could hear the other guests walking in the hallway and chatting in their rooms late at nights The check in and check out process was smooth and Faiz was very informative about the amenities available at the hotel.
Lovely clean and modern rooms in a fantastic location at an affordable price. The staff are incredible and the coffee that they serve is the best in town!nNot to mention the convenience of having an on-site restaurant. On wintery days like today, it was so nice to have a delicious warm meal by the fire!
