During my visit, I found a plentiful stock of all items except for bottled water. The staff were friendly, and there was an abundance of fresh produce available. I thoroughly enjoyed browsing through their bakery area and ended up making more purchases than I originally intended.nnOverall, a delightful shopping experience!
This is a very large & busy Coles. They have a great fresh food selection & I have always had no problems with their vegetables or fruit. A very good bakery also. Only problem I have is with the staff on the self check outs. They hardly manage to smile, let alone speak!
While I was at Coles Maroochydore Plaza today, at the deli section, I was the only one there. The young man looked at me and walked over to a coworker to have a personal conversation. He kept looking at me but kept talking to the coworker. They were both laughing at a joke. I ended up walking off disappointed. He refused to serve me and obviously his personal conversation was more important. This is such bad customer service. I will never shop at Coles again.
Coles is a reliable supermarket with a wide range of quality products, fresh produce, and regular specials. The store is clean, well-organized, and usually well-stocked.nnI also really appreciate the little perks—like their free collection offers from time to time. Most recently, I received a free 2L bottle of milk, which was a lovely surprise. Combined with the Flybuys rewards program and convenient self-checkouts, Coles continues to offer great value and service.
Poor Customer Service at CheckoutnnI had an unpleasant experience today at Coles, with a checkout operator named Emma. She didn’t ask if I had bags — which I did — and made no effort to help with packing. I ended up bagging all my groceries myself while she just stood there and prompted me to pay, even though I was still in the middle of packing. Her attitude came across as if she absolutely hated being there.nnHonestly, if I’m not going to get any help bagging, I may as well have used the self-checkout. At least then I’d expect to do everything myself. If you’re being paid to do a job, the least you can do is actually do it — even if it’s just offering basic courtesy to customers. If someone clearly doesn’t want to deal with people, maybe they’re better suited to a non-customer-facing role like shelf stocking.
