I shop here once a week. Today was the last time. 1 register open with 3 people in line with loaded trolleys. I had approx 1/3 trolley. The rest diverted to self checkout. I attempted self check out. Not practical. I asked the lady in the kiosk if she would serve me. I was told to join the queue on the only register opened. Surely a company that has a sizeable profit margin could open a couple of checkouts at 3pm on a weekday.

Great Service and it's great to go with friends named Matt & Sean. There is loads of fun to be had at our local Coles supermarket up here in the beautiful heart of upper mount gravatt only a little walks always from garden city it has a nice community feel. Something you wouldn't get from those big nasty dirty shopping centres. The toilet facilities are quite a spectacle themselves, having 4 & a 48/96 urinals plus 2 full sized enclosed doored toilets perfect for when you a good ole F@?. This is our crib, our territory. 4220 represent!

Usually has all of the fresh veggies you need and at least a couple of hot chooks still at 7pm. Staff are always pleasant, especially at the deli.

The seafood products are getting worse and worse. Prawns on special this week where just a solid block of ice, very unappealing and the staff had to break them to get them off - I would have taken more but it was all too much trouble. The deli 'number system' is never working so staff don't know who is next. The wait for the checkout is getting longer every week, why aren't more checkouts open on the weekend? or are they forcing customers to use the self serve, which is too hard with a full weeks shopping in the trolley! I used to love the service and convenience of this store...I am thinking of going back to the Garden City store.
