Rude and racist customer service at the self service counter this morning by a female employee.nI went in yesterday and used the self service, and by the same employee was asked to donate to a Cole’s charity for Christmas.nnThis morning I went in with my middle-eastern husband and two young kids to buy 2 packets of $13 nappies and 2 water bottles.nnThe same employee followed us to the self service, stood extremely close, I scanned one pack of nappies and then went to scan a water bottle where she stopped me and asked me to scan the second pack of nappies. I asked why, she said it was store policy to scan “big items” first. I stated that I feel as though this was discrimination as she did not follow/watch or let anyone else on the several other self service counters know of this “policy”. She was absolutely relentless and persistent even though we did as she asked. I had to ask her to move away from us and yet she was still causing a scene. As we were leaving she said she has been asked to donate this by her manager.nnVery sad in this day and age to be made to feel so little and that my young children are also witness to this.
Terrible customer service, very rude at closing time today. I left the store without getting shopping as the rude customer service guy said we closed the checkout. Date: 14th December @ closing time Managers can check the cameras
A full size supermarket in Canberra Centre mall.nGood selection of supermarket foods at Coles prices. Store layout is unusual in that they have many short aisles as opposed to fewer longer aisles. There is a liquorland attached which has different operating hours to the Coles.nChoices of self-serve or staff assisted checkouts are available.
Huge selection of food items, school needs, summer electronic items, animal food, animal toys, animal treats, cat litter, animal medicines like worming and flea treatments, animal bathing products, diapers, baby needs, formula, male and female shaving needs, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, tweezers, mail clippers, fresh produce, fruit and vegetables with the choice of fresh or frozen, canned goods, dairy and non dairy, bakery products, meats, seafood, deli, toys, etc etc
The Canberra Centre is a beautifully appointed twenty first century new age shopping experience & a pleasurably refined indoor shopping mall.
