Transported me back to Seoul. Good range of exactly the same products I knew living there. Good variety of pantry staples, even had samgyetang spice packs. Lots of frozen and fridge stuff imported too.
After my son went there and raved about it, I decided to take a look for myself. So many Asian and some American groceries. It's an amazing place to visit. Bought a few things which didn't have any English spring on it and they were very delicious. If you're into making Asian dishes, they sell laksa, curry and many more flavourings. Go and take a look for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
One of the best places in Canberra to get Korean groceries. A good selection, some rotating products with most of the staples always available. They have gimbap on weekends the only place I seem to be able to find it in Canberra is here and the other EMart in Gungahlin and some other fresh dishes like japchae. Nice staff, too.
For what I can gather, this place stocks mostly Korean products. Has a range of Japanese products as well. Staff are a hit and miss, some are extremely friendly and helpful, like the guys who usually do the arrangement of the stocks. Cashiers however could learn more about customer service, as being crude, uninterested, and constantly looking angry at the world just ruins the whole experience.
Good -Located in Civic. -Reasonable price. -You can buy many Korean stuffs in here. -Looks bigger than Bestore. Bad -Nil Carpark....
I love this supermarket so much because it is quite large and you can buy loads of house utensils as well.
Probably the cleanest and best smelling Asian supermarket I have seen. Has a lot of Korean items I have never seen before, such as the Dole pineapple icy pole, or the Yonsei Yoghurt similar to Yakult. However, the cash register was coughing constantly, which is concerning especially during the pandemic. I also took a photo of the cabbage disguising as a watermelon :
Great range. Helpful staff. If you plan to shop here often, set up a points account linked to your phone number. It takes a while, but the points add up and can give cash discounts. The selection of Japanese lollies and ice creams is great. Leave your kids at home... We buy our Japanese style short grain rice from here. Sunrice 20kg bags are around $65 Apr 22 Product of Uruguay. Tasty! Best value in town.
