I have been to Chattie’s a few times with my kids for lunch & quality of the food has always been high. They cater for kids & they also come out with small side of chips & salad. I have always ordered their rice dishes, especially their chicken katsu curry & rice and it is delicious cos they use high grade Japanese rice. Location is hidden in a business village centre & usually only see regulars coming here which is good for us cos you know you will always get a table during lunch!
Chattie's Komachi is the best Japanese restaurant I have been to in Sydney, the homely vibe combined with the warm and friendly staff really set the tone for a good eating experience. I live in Chatswood and go regularly when I have time. The one thing to expect is the food will come out when ready, fresh and delicious. I like it this way as the quality of food is always top level never compromising. I recommend ordering mains and sides at the same time, that way you can nibble on the sides while each main comes out according to perfection. The coffee is some of the best I have tried, the homemade cakes are always great for dessert. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Sydney and I would recommend it to anyone coming to Chatswood.
Food is good but it took too long time to wait. We ordered 2 dishes for adults and 1 for kid, after 30 minutes we got all our dishes finally. You know, it would be appreciated if the food can be served fast if you have kids. Our kid was going to be impatience when she waited for her lunch. We observed others around our table as well, they also waited at least 30mins and 10 minutes, even for finished made cheesecakes! And we requested to get more rice, but the staff told us the rice was not done yet. They did not ask us again until we left the restaurant, even no apology when we paid. No more again as there are many better restaurants in Chatswood.
A nice hidden Japanese style cafe with some interesting food choices. Homely in design but distinctively Japanese. Staff members are very nice and the wait times are reasonable.
Hidden Gem! Where Japanese people eat Japanese food. Make sure you try the Teriyaki beef and Omu Rice
