This is not your ordinary Thai. This is Banquet style. Food is presented beautifully and taste is superb. Every dish is a favourite. I am really glad we found it.

Thai food is famous for their spicy heat but more importantly, their depth of flavour and the interplay of the spices which can be very subtle at times. While this restaurant walks the walk, it doesn't quite speak the lingo. With the latest metamorphosis of this dining space into a Thai restaurant, the space was tastefully done and the seating is both comfortable and nicely spaced. There is a hint of Thai culture but not over the top, the space is fairly generic in that regard. Service is efficient and friendly (it was a quiet night). The menu covers the usual dishes with some speciality recommendations. We sampled a few and I'm afraid the standard is not quite up to par. The mix entrees was generous in size but someof the titbits seems to be mass produced and while the chicken skewers were fresh, it was not marinaded and lack any flavours which the little bit of peanut sauce could not remedy. The wonton skin covered quail egg was an interesting take. The pineapple fried rice was dominated by curry flavour. It is an odd pairing with pineapple and made it tasted a little weird. It also overpowered the seafood in the rice. The suki seafood noodle was generous in size but once again, it was dominated by one flavour and this time it is chilli heat. When you looked at the bowl of noodle, you kind of expect some spice but also taste of coconut milk and maybe a rich fish or chicken stock but all you can taste is chilli. The use of glass noodle instead of rice noodle is also questionable. Other dishes we sample were similar. Not bad but just not quite right. In the end, the food is a bit like the decor, there is a hint of Thai but it is not the full cultural tour.
