It aeems tobe an old mall but its being renovated. There are several big retailers like Kmart, Coles, Target other various retail outlets and also restaurants. Just few ateps away from Silkary Suite Apartment.
I get the feeling the revamp currently happening here is creating a shopping centre I'm less and less likely to visit. The current work zone makes shopping unpleasant and all the old lovely spaces have been gobbled up to create more shopping space. It's verging on claustrophobic now.
Chatswood Chase is a famous shopping centre in the lower North Shore that doesn’t need any more credit rating. Having said that, I feel obliged to add a personal expectation in this centre as a local. This centre is currently undergoing a major renovation on all levels. Ground level has 80% to 90% completed with a new food court area. This gives everyone a fresh new view with many different varieties of foods for tasting and enjoying. As a local, I come to this centre many times a week. At the moment, parking is limited to levels B1 and B2 only, and you will be lucky to get a space to park. Apart from the new food court, there are still many shops on this ground level and part of level 1, namely Coles, Kmart, David Jone, Apple...etc. The renovation works will transform all other floor levels into a high-end shopping centre in the next 18 months with many restaurants and shops for customers to explore.
No safe parking. No camera except entrance and exit. Even though it can’t be proof. My parked car was smashed by someone last month. Be careful when u park there.
If you're wondering how the renovations are going, there are currently unterminated wires hanging from the roof at head height. Food court is almost entirely boarded up. I'm sure it'll be nice when all the work is done but right now the Westfield up the road is a much better option.
