This hotel has become my oasis in Townsville. What a fantastic place it's become since Red and Olivia moved in. I will never stay anywhere else. I come in for hospital stays and just have the best time everytime. They are great, down to earth, caring genuine family oriented humans. Highly recommend
They don't clean as they say that the room will be cleaned every 1 week. All they did was change the wet towels, but the toilet and bathroom are still dirty. Coincidentally I stayed there for 3 weeks. Then the most annoying thing is that the motel staff told me to throw the trash in the big bin outside where I should have thrown the trash in the room trash can is enough. I don't understand how they can run hospitality service like that. Disappointing.
What an amazing place to stay and a pure gem. Close to shops, and easy access if heading through Townsville from the north or the south. But most of all the managers not only go out of their way to make one feel comfortable but also are there to assist in every aspect of the stay. We stayed for 12 nights due to a family bereavement and were totally supported through our stay.
We stayed at the Cedar Lodge last week for two nights. The motel owners are great. We had to book quickly because they had a family member in the hospital. It was no problem booking while we were driving to Townsville. They are so nice and pleasant; the rooms and toilets are super clean, and the beds are nice and comfy, with Pay TV as well. Great location, too—a shoppingnmall, two service stations, a coffee shop, and eateries are a short walking distance from the motel. Well done; we will definitely be returning, 10/10.
Owners were absolutely amazing, helpful and friendly. Room was clean, comfortable bed, shower was the best shower ever. Walked to get dinner, about 200m. Only thing we didn't like was how bright the rooms are from the outside hall lights but we understand they are on for security and safety of the people staying so still get a 5 stars in my eyes.
