Forced to need accommodation for a medical stay I had a look and found this place. Calling and giving the details, I arrive and get charged 1 price, then have to pay more. The office area stinks like fermenting grossness. The rooms are not cleaned properly as there were clothes on the cupboard and some type of chocolate thing beside the fridge. But they looked clean otherwise, so laziness in cleaning I guess unless the clothes belong the the staff.nThe rest of the cleanliness was ok.nRooms are hot as there is only aircon, but you use the one door key so that aircon can't be on while you are out, so you go out, come back and the Townsville beat suffocates you.nBed was comfy enough.nOn a busy road so the noise is constant. Bathroom, shower has big shower head.nBed was comfortable enough. Decent sized TV.nClose to Townsville hospital.
I arrived at the motel to find that my booking had been double booked through the webpage. So it had cancelled my booking with no notice and I had to find other options with limited availability. Also lady on the phone said it had happened to other people the same day. I feel once this happened on more than one occasion they should have made contact to make sure as I had paid. Luckily I have been refunded but furious during the time.
No Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Dryer. 4 of the little tiny milks with 2 a lot time past use by date with lumpy 'off' milk when opened. Looked for used by date after opening. Many vacant rooms but was placed upstairs! Assumed wrongly, that downstairs rooms would be used first.
A close relative was booked to have emergency surgery at the Townsville University Hospital. Motel staff were very accommodating with our booking as we had a lot of uncertainties. Room was clean and comfortable. Location excellent - not far from the hospital and close to Stocklands/Kmart. Bus stops very close. Walking distance to Tom's Tavern and Marsala Indian restaurant which were very good.
The rooms were fine, the main issue that was concerning was the management they were incredible disrespectful to my family they kicked us out told us to get all our stuff in 15 minuets and also threatened to call the cops if we didn’t leave the property in 5 minuets even though we were leaving, and they did not give a reason to why we’re getting kicked out. DO NOT RECOMMEND
