We dined here in December 2017, I cant believe it has taken me this long to review. The whole experience was a pleasant explosion of the senses. From the front desk service to the delivery service, every was finely tuned to deliver you the best effort of a team. Congratulations to the owner. The food left you asking questions of your taste buds. The ambiance was great considering you are in a basement with no windows and the decor reflected the class of the owners style and cuisine. Now if Indian Cusine is not your favorite I must encourage you to try Cassia. I have dined on Indian food in many countries (including India) be it fine dining or market dishes. This was one of my top 3 Highly recommended for those whom enjoy fine dining experiences. We were a group of 4 we had 6 dishes to share and 2.5 rounds of cocktails. We left with full bellies and a staggered step all for less than $350 NZD. Personal highlight: Try the Quail! Please like my review if you found it helpful. Thanks

Had one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had with the wife. First of all, great staff and service, they make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive at the restaurant. We started our meal with the Tuna and Lamb entrances and they were just amazing, full of flavours, the Lamb was cooked just right and Tuna was so soft it melted in your mouth. As the main we had the Tandoori Chicken and the Pork Belly. Again amazing rich flavours and good sized portions. Our mains came with rice but we also ordered the Naan, very filling. We also had the cherry + chocolate + honeycomb dessert that ended our delicious dinner on a high note. Will definitely come back more. Strongly recommend for dates or group/family dinners.

We had a stunning meal here and plan to return. We had waited a long time to visit and it didn't let us down. Indian inspired but very modern in approach. Splendid cocktails made by a scrupulous barman, worth coming down just for the drinks! We had the tasting menu and every course outdid the previous. The 2 amuse bouche were had were so good we thought they were courses. I can't wait to return!

Super fancy spicy food. My favourite. The lamb is insane and will make you insane. Good for you.

A must-visit when in Auckland! The food is amazing here and the staff provide excellent service. I went with my partner for a date night, my one disappointment was how loud it was - it was hard to enjoy a nice experience together as we couldn't hear each other talking. It's not a place I'd describe as romantic, would recommend for groups or for fun occasions.
