About

CARM Therapies is a Remedial Massage and Acupuncture Clinic utilising evidence based treatments for Chronic Pain, Pregnancy and General Wellbeing.

Story

CARM Therapies originated in 2002, opening its first room within the Deakin Sports Therapy Centre in Deakin ACT. It has been a a whirlwind 14 years since, with moves from Deakin to The Gold Coast and back to the ACT, where in 2009 Emily opened up within the University Of Canberra's 'Faculty Of Health Clinics', and then in 2011 established a clinic within Parliament House.
In February 2013 Emily decided to consolidate her practices into one location, and moved to The Scullin Shops, which allowed for a much larger, and more accessible clinic for all of CARM Therapies wonderful clients.
In 2015, Kingsley Avery joined the clinic as an acupuncturist, and then at the end of 2015, we decided to combine our powers and create CARM Therapies Pty Ltd. We moved to our current location at the Higgins Shops in January 2016 and are loving our new space.
The philosophy at CARM Therapies is simple. Great therapists = great treatments = happy clients. We pride ourselves on providing friendly, educative and evidence based treatments to all of our clients, so that they can be confident that they not only understand what we are doing, but can take ownership of their condition/problem, which ultimately leads to better treatment outcomes.
Having worked alongside a range of Allied Health services (including Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Exercise Physiologists, Pilates Practitioners and Sporting organisations) the team at CARM Therapies have a great working knowledge of injuries and chronic pain. We are dedicated to furthering our skills and knowledge so that our clients can feel secure and well looked after, and we are happy to go the extra mile to help clients out wherever possible. We also enjoy incorporating new practitioners and therapies into our clinic space, and believe that a holistic approach to health gets the best results for our valued clients.
