I have been wanting to share this feedback for quite some time.nnFor the past four months, I have been coming to Cardinia Life every Monday with the participants I support at work. I truly admire and care about the people I work with, which is why I feel it is important to mention something that has been disappointing.nnOne of the women who works at the main reception, where visitors make their payments, is consistently unfriendly. She rarely greets people, often looks at visitors with a judgmental expression, and speaks in a dismissive and impatient manner. As someone who works as a support worker, I also observe how she interacts with other people, and unfortunately, I have noticed the same attitude towards many visitors.nnI have also experienced similar behaviour from some staff members in the café. They often come across as impatient, arrogant, and lacking empathy. It sometimes feels as though they forget that their role is to welcome and support the people who choose to come to this facility.nnCardinia Life serves people with disabilities, families, and people from many different cultural backgrounds. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and dignity. It is disheartening to see staff members who show so little warmth or empathy in an environment that should be inclusive and welcoming.nnI hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe the customer experience would improve significantly if staff received additional training in customer service, empathy, and respectful communication.
Cardinia Life is a fantastic community recreation centre in Pakenham, offering excellent facilities for fitness, sport, and family activities. The modern complex includes a fully equipped gym, indoor swimming pools, basketball courts, group fitness studios, and spaces for a wide range of community programs, making it suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels.nnOne of the standout features is the friendly, welcoming, and professional staff, who create a positive atmosphere and are always happy to assist. The centre is clean, well maintained, and offers excellent accessibility, ample parking, and quality amenities, making every visit enjoyable. Whether you're swimming, working out, playing sport, or attending a class, Cardinia Life provides a first-class experience and is a valuable asset to the local community.
Really nice place for swimming, gym, basketball, tennis. Little worn and aging but still really nice.
Joined Cardinia Life for knee rehab and was disappointed.nThe hydro pool was shared with kids, and one jumped on me, leaving me sore for days. Staff said the public can use it anytime. You could come at 5am as it’s quiet or go elsewhere. Was shocked to hear that.nNot ideal for a rehab environment.
Swimming lessons are finenBUT the lifeguard singeling me out to tell me to get off my phone ,as my kid is in a swim lesson and we have to watch them constantly,was pretty dumb.EVERYONE IS ON THEIR PHONE.YOU SHOULD BE TELLING EVERY SINGLE ONE, if that rule applies.
