Extremely helpful customer servicenNeeded specific advice on detail woodworking as a gift for a friend. With help from multiple expert tradespeople managed to find the correct product, as well as gave helpful advice for starting timbers for beginners. Couldn’t recommend more highly!
Terrible customer service. Firstly, when asking about the function of a tool, instead of telling or showing what was needed we were given an obtuse answer. Secondly, we tried to order a sand belt even when out of stock, the guy behind the desk was unprofessional and unhelpful, telling us to spend more money on delivery to get it within a week instead of three weeks pick up. Lastly, we looked online at the stock, and the product was available, but alas it was not when we got there- which was a 40 minute drive.
I visited this shop today, and was served by David. He was REALLY knowledgeable, and REALLY helpful. He is an experienced woodworker himself and in about 10 minutes gave me a few golden tips. Whilst I had to drive from the other side of town, it was definitely worth it. So much better than going to bunnings etc.nThe chap behind the counter was also really knowledgeable.nHave really good range of things too. Maybe best in Melbourne?nnWorth the drive. Top notch..
I have only placed a few orders with Carbatec over the years, but have never had a single issue, they have competitive pricing and always deliver promptly. I also appreciate the environmentally friendly packaging!
