I'm not one to normally write a bad review about a business but my experience with Capital S.M.A.R.T Bentleigh East has been frustrating.  I had some small bumper damage from someone reversing into my Volvo and was recommended to repair it at this business through my insurer. After I picked it up, the rear bumper was not properly fixed. There was big gaps between different panels. I was informed that they got the 'plastics guys' to work on it because it would have been a wait for a new bumper to arrive. I said this was not acceptable, and they agreed to order a new bumper but it would be a wait. I informed them that it was okay and let me know when it arrived.  The new bumper arrived and I dropped off my car at Capital Smart  for it to be installed. After I picked up the car and upon taking it home I noticed a number of bumps in the paint work, which indicated it was not painted in a clean environment. I went back to the repairers and they fixed the marks on the paint.  Recently, I have now noticed in the sunlight that the paint on the bumper is a completely different colour and not as metallic as the rest of the car  as shown in the picture below.  I have since gone back to my insurer to insist on seeing an authorised Volvo repairer. As you can see by the photo below, I have no faith in this business to get things right.

A true customer-centric service that’s switched on to exactly what the customer needs.  In a world where good customer service is hard to find, what sheet relief that the real deal still exists. The best attention to customer satisfaction I have experienced in Melbourne in a very long time. And certainly the most superior motor vehicle related service I’ve ever experienced.  They kept me informed, offered me a courtesy Uber drop off and pick up, and finished a beautiful job days ahead of promised timeline. The process was seamless. I was initially reluctant to use Capital SMART when reading some of the reviews on here but I had no choice due to a restriction with my insurance company. However I can say I received top rated customer service at all times. The staff were very receptive and extremely accommodating even when my situation wasn’t straightforward AND the servicemen did a great job. Have bought my car back 3 times and still not fixed properly. Waiting for a part that has taken 3 months wait and still hasn’t come in. Poor service

This centre is all about a quick turnaround.  If you don't mind fish eyes and scuffs in your new paint, returning multiple times after completion for missing wheel pressure sensors and finding lights not properly fitted into bumper after paint, then this is the place for you.  Having the work scrutinised prior to handing back the vehicle is a thing of the past here.  If your insurance is paying for your hire car, make sure you are happy with the work done before you return it. I learnt the hard way.

Left hand side mirror with camera was not calibrated properly, which was the basis of my repair. Driving back to get them to address it another driver hit my car with a severe impact, if they had done the job properly this wouldn't have happened. So you missed a major quality control step in the process which may result in my car being written off, it would be appreciated this is looked into, your business needs to improve this process.  The manager did call me and took no responsibility for the lack of QC in their process, yet said they want to improve, my car has been written off because of this, very disappointed.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Insurance company got my car repaired through them and when I got the car back the front part of the car fell off while I was driving - the exact specific part of the car that they fixed. They said they would not fix and further to that they wouldn't release the car back to me for over 48 hours. Lawyer now involved. Shameful, absolutely shameful. It's unbelievable that the exact part of the car that they fixed fell off, and they refuse to take responsibility. Disgusting people. Completely unsafe. If your insurance company recommends them do not go there. I wish I read the reviews before this happened.

I have been here twice now and both times I have received excellent service and I am very happy with the repair of my Hyundai i30. Transport was organised for me after drop off of my car and also for pick up, the entire process was quick and efficient. Thank you Capital S.M.A.R.T Repairs, Bentleigh East.
