Capalaba Park Shopping Centre is a regional shopping centre built in 1981 and located within the Redland Shire, approximately 22 km south-east of the Brisbane CBD.

Capalaba Park has major retailers Kmart, Target, Coles Supermarket and Woolworths Supermarket and over 110 specialty stores which include a great proportion of national retailers. It has a strong fresh food component, many retail services and excellent undercover parking. It prides itself on its overall retail mix and has a convenient, one stop shopping offer.

My wife and I shop here once a week. Sometime ago we noticed the downside escalator, next to the Coles store was not working. As.much as we love this shopping center I feel the need to highlight this extremely dangerous situation. Its only a matter of time before someone, probably an oldie or xhild is going to get seriously hurt or worse. This should either be fixed, closed off completely or manned by staff to help people hold their trollys as they try to make their way down. All you have to do is sit and watch people struggle. If someone would accidentally lose control of their trolley someone could actually be killed.
Escalator broken again. Centre management should have staff fromnthere to assist the elderly, disable, and helping people walking down with their trolley. We always said someone is going to fall and get hurt.. well it finally happened last week, an elderly lady fell all the way to the bottom and broke her arm…. And still no centre management there to help customers. Close the escalator down then! Where’s your duty of care for the shoppers that shop there??
Out dated and run down.nn- Escalators and handicapped facilities constantly broken down and takes months to have repaired.nn- If you have a vehicle over 2mtr, there are no under carpark facilities. Youll need to park outside and walk in. This can be a bit of a hike on busy days.nn- Usual shops,stores and cafes.
