Canadian Pancakes located opposite William Ricketts Sanctuary, is surrounded by beautiful gardens and wildlife. Sitting in one of the most historical buildings in the Hills it has a tranquil energy and spacious feel.

No good unfortunately. The building is lovely and has great potential, but the food is of a low standard, and staff are just plain disinterested. Many other great places in the hills, hopefully this lovely building can become one of them again.

A place with great potential, however is poorly managed. Owned by an Indian family, the interior deco & table cloths & the slightly curry smell when you got in somewhat put a surprising contrast to the nice garden outside. When we walked in, the owner was sitting at the family area couch opposite the entrance, did not bother to get up & greet as she doesn’t want to do the job of the servants. The Indian guy at the counter (I guess a family member) saw us & rang the bell to make a waitress walking up from the back to greet us while she was serving some customer. There’s a dull & depressing feeling about the place, the waitresses look depressed... underpaid, overworked? The food is delicious, BUT The cuttlery & the mapple syrup jar & pots & dishes, and the carpet, are dirty. Please hire another staff to keep the place clean, because 2 waitresses can’t do all the serving & cleaning, or at least stand up & help your staff. And please buy a dishwasher!

Great little spot surrounded by great views all year round, really beautiful. Simple old fashioned styling and amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Pancakes were good my wife and I were happy. Food didn't take too long to come out which was great. Small family run businesses are wonderful and we need more of them around so I support these guys can't wait to see what they can achieve with that place truely amazing spot. We will be back thanks guys :)

A truly memorable experience that we will remember with fond hilarity for years to come. The staff were very nice and showed commendable patience and politeness to the stream of customers complaining about the inedibility or non-arrival of their orders. We waited an hour and chatted happily amongst ourselves as there was no mobile phone reception to distract us. What finally arrived could with some imagination be partially related to what we had ordered and some of us ate part of what arrived. Fortunately we had cash to pay for the little that we had eaten, as the card processing machines did not work. On the positive side, the staff were very nice people. The downside was that some of us were hungry and had to wait until we got home to make some sandwiches. Entertainment value was excellent.

Such a great and peaceful place this is probably the most underrated pancake place in Melbourne, food was fabulous and cheap the staff was very cheerful and nice to talk to, great management, would recommend to go in and try next time you go to Dandenong
