We almost drove past but decided to stop for lunch and were glad we did ! The food and service were great. We will return again soon ! The chips were perfect! The Ale pie and calamari were cooked beautifully thanks to Mark. Rebecca was  warm and funny and helped me with my gluten free options.Jenny at the bar was also lovely to chat with! Lovely old pub in the hills with old school atmosphere.

We had a lovely dinner here tonight.  Missed the dinner rush so wasn’t hectic and got to sit in front of the log fire. The staff member in the bistro was so lovey, made our night even better !

I went here last week with my family. My grandmother could not stop talking about how AMAZING our server Eva was. She was a living angel on earth. Professionalism was the best I've ever experienced at a pub. She ordered the garlic bread and the lamb shank and says thanks to the brilliant chef for blessing her taste buds with such a beautiful dish.nnPersonally, she was the best server I ever had, and I hope to come back to see her again.nnSuch a calm, loving, and thoughtful environment. Very family friendly. I hope you all get served by Eva.

Saved our weekend!nnA huge thank you to this great old-school pub. After being disappointed with our planned anniversary dinner elsewhere, we ended up here and couldn't have been happier.nnThe staff genuinely cared about both their customers and the local area. When we shared our experience from earlier in the evening, you could tell they were genuinely disappointed for us and wanted to make sure we had a great night.nnFor dinner we ordered the duck spring rolls, lamb shank, and the Aussie Parma with egg and bacon. Every dish was outstanding. The lamb shank was enormous, tender, and literally fell off the bone. The Aussie Parma was next level and one of the best I've had in a long time.nnWhat really stood out, though, was the hospitality. While chatting with the staff, they asked whether we were staying in the area the following night, knowing it was a public holiday and that many places would be closed. They were concerned that we might struggle to find a meal and even offered to organise food for us the next evening.nnThat simple gesture made us feel genuinely welcome, comfortable, and looked after. It's the sort of customer service that is becoming harder to find and deserves recognition.nnWe will definitely be stopping in again whenever we're in the area. Thank you for helping turn our anniversary weekend around.

Came here for an early dinner for my birthday last night & got the table in front of the open fire. The service was great & dinner was delicious. Not an overly huge serving but we did order a couple of extra sides so it was fine. We will definitely return.
