Great breakfast meals. I enjoyed a lamb rump steak with sweet potato and vegetables for dinner last night and was cooked to perfection. The barman is the only barman I have seen in the last 30 years who knows how to mix a lemon, lime and bitters properly.
The staff a very pleasant and this will always be a go to for future visits to Cairns.

Great location. Beer kept on ice. Acceptable food, provided quite quickly. Interesting WW2 information in the front room. Excellent view of footpath and the Esplanade waterfront.

We were the only people in the RSL. I was half way through enjoying the ‘big breakfast’ (one piece of bacon) and the duty manager came up and asked us to move because there was a meeting going on the other side of a temporary wall. Half way through breakfast that we had paid for and your asking us to move? You can’t do that in hospitality. Ruined our breakfast.

A friendly, happy atmosphere. Good menus and the roast dinners are always a hit. Great views and excellent betting and Pokies facilities. Very helpful staff. Perfect place to grab a bite or drink a pint or two and chat with mates. Highly recommend.

Prices are reasonable and the breakfast menu is good. The Eggs Benedict was wonderful.
