On any other day I would have given this store five stars as the service is normally outstanding. However yesterday I went in wanting to purchase a folding cot, inflatable mattress, tarp, tent pegs and various other bits. I waited, with my arms full and unable to carry any more, for the salesman to get off the phone. When he finally got off the phone he attended a couple who came in after me. Then he served someone who entered the store while he was serving the couple .Then a man entered the store and he was also served immediately. I stood and stared at the salesman debating whether to say anything or not. In the end I just put my things back and left. Very disappointing  .

Had a great experience shopping at Anaconda in Cairns. Mel is a wonderful shop assistant and knows her stock well. Most helpful. Love to share some photos of our snow trip. Perfect gear, it was freezing cold, yet we were warm with the help from Mel in choosing the appropriate clothing. Thanks Mel, your a real gem.

Very good customer service......local, friendly and knowledgeable. They even showed how easy it was to fold back up one of those horrid shower tents and let me take a video of how to do it, when I get frustrated when I give it a go myself and fail....grrrrr. It was so easy.

These boys know their stuff. If you want GOOD gear recommendations OR just want to know some good spots locally these guys will point you in the right direction. They Live, Breathe & DO camping & BEST thing is, if you buy, you support business locally.

The staff have always been helpful either in person, or over the phone. There is a good selection of items in store, and they will  order in what I request subject to supplier availability.

I love this place. Try to swing by when I'm in from Weipa for supplies, they have a great selection, well-priced, and are always good for a yarn about camping or local conditions.

Amazing customer service and pricing. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for camping stuff
