I would only advise that you purchase their products on SALE. They sell some junk and some quality items. Their “normal” prices are generally hugely inflated. They work by this and after time, they reduce the same goods for clearance or sale. They would still be making a good profit even when reduced. Do not expect polite and helpful customer service as it does not exist. Their online site is a real sham. They quite a week for delivery, although you can be left waiting up to a month. My most recent purchase is moving into 3 weeks for instore collection. I received an email from them last night saying they made a mistake and my order has not been shipped. This has happened with previous orders. When goods do arrive, do not expect a call from this Lake Street Cairns store. You have to keep calling them to follow it up. In my opinion. This Kathmanddu mob is a really Mickey Mouse organization. Be warned
Exemplary service. Clearly the staff were chosen for their skills and knowledge in this feild. Helpful,pleasant, and quite an enjoyable shop to be in.

One of the only adventure gears in Cairns. Good quality stock, but not easy to get car park. So don't be afraid to get membership and will be okay.
I went to store on Saturday as club member and they didn't have my size so Jo ordered from Townsville store and told me that they would arrive on Wednesday 09. I just rang to see if they had arrive yesterday and was told by Sky that Jo had not given me an arrival date cause that was not in there policy. Which is calling me a layer. Good bye Kathmandu. I will tell all about this!
The woman shop assistant in this shop needs to learn some manners and how to speak to customers. I didn’t realise that she was gossiping with a customer and asked for assistance, I got barked at “wait a minute” I’m not spending my money when I was spoken to like this whilst she was gossiping about anaconda. Disgraceful behaviour! Ill never shop in a Kathmandu again
I purchased a lock here this morning. They had some great specials and the customer service was first rate. Very nice store as well, with heaps of room.
