Went to buy an on-sale ceramic heater. Drove there, walked in, located the item then realised that my 20 minute drive for a shopping trip had effectively ended in less than 2 minutes. Great layout, great service and clean environment. Can't beat that.
Visited Bunnings Glenorchy on 09/07/2026 at around 12:45 pm. The older lady working at the tool shop counter was extremely rude and dismissive. The interaction fell well below basic customer service standards and definitely needs attention and retraining. Very disappointing experience
Booked a ute a day in advance for 3:00–4:00 pm and arrived at Bunnings at 2:55 pm. We were served by a lady with short hair in the Trade section. Despite arriving before our booking time, we were left waiting while she continued serving customers who had arrived well after us.nnBy the time she finally got around to helping us, our booking had effectively expired because she had delayed us by around 15 minutes. She initially asked if we could return the ute early because there were other bookings after ours. I agreed and explained that we only needed it for a short job.nnWhat followed was an incredibly frustrating and time-wasting process. She spent around 20 minutes on the computer, repeatedly asking for my phone number and emergency contact details multiple times, as if the information wasn't being recorded. After wasting all that time, she then told us she couldn't give us the ute because our booking would now overlap with the next customer's booking.nnI explained that this delay would cost us money because we had arranged to meet someone at 3:00 pm specifically based on the booking time we had reserved. Her response was simply that there was nothing she could do. The only alternative offered was a booking at 6:30 pm.nnI then had to call the person I was meeting and reschedule everything for 6:30 pm. After agreeing to that time, she changed it again a few minutes later and pushed it back to 6:45 pm.nnWhat is the point of having a booking system if staff can ignore your booking time, serve later arrivals first, cause delays themselves, and then refuse the booking because of the delay they created? The entire experience was unprofessional, disorganised, and incredibly disappointing. The poor service from this staff member completely defeated the purpose of making a booking in the first place.
I dealt with Carl, the trade specialist, with a bit of gear I needed to organise for a job and he was amazing. Thanks Carl, I grabbed the gear on the way home from work with the help of Holly who was also very helpful. I'm not a huge reviews person but I felt the level of your customer service absolutely deserved a shout out. Cheers
