We used to live in Vic Point and frequented Brown Sugar on a regular basis. Unfortunately since Lauren and Pete sold this business it's gone downhill. Was there Saturday just gone for a coffee, really not game enough to eat there. It was absolutely filthy, tables not cleared, food all over the floor and staff that couldn't care less. They can't use the excuse of being too busy, besides our party of four there were about 5 other people. It always use to be packed, could never get a table. If this is how the outside is maintained I shudder to think what the food prep area looks like. Definitely needs an inspection from the Health Department. If you value your health find somewhere else to have coffee.

Come on Brown Sugar Cafe Bar...lift your game! Grubby looking is not inviting! A thorough CLEAN of inside and especially out in alfresco area! A good pressure clean on floor (badly needs) chairs n tables (a good scrub and wipe down) AND windows!! Welcoming happy staff makes a good impact too! Look forward to seeing a clean bright change for Brown Sugar in 2018! 😉

OMG the owner of this place needs a good kick up the arse. The hole place needs a good clean maybe the health department need to see the state of the highchairs that get put back without being wiped after a child has eaten. The staff wouldn't know how to organize there own breakfast never lone customers. Coffee brought out at different stages of our meals not all together. The people that ordered there food last in our group got there's first and had already finished eating before more food came out. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone except the health department.

Well where do I start? I cannot believe how this once *Great Place* to go has gone downhill since new Ownership. Firstly - Closing time is supposed to be 3 pm. Imagine having organised to meet 7 other ppl - to discuss Animal Rescue - there @ approx 1.30 - ONLY to be told that the Owner had told the staff @ 1pm to Close Up early ! (It is impossible for Us to book earlier - which the Owner suggested - as we work, families etc so its a case of when we are all available *Cool lets go*. Unacceptable! >>> Is this common practice within the *Cafe Business*?

A friend had recommended this place. She must have been there on a good day. We waited way too long for our food and the bin was where the bacon and egg muffin should have gone. The bacon was greasy the egg dirty and the bun burned. The 'hump' had raw onion in it where it would have tasted more palatable with cooked and the coffees took so long to arrive after we'd already waited for ages for our meals. Even an orange juice ordered at the initial order took eons. The tables were dirty only cleaned when we asked. The staff apologised for the delay but there was no excuse they were averagely busy - after eating there I don't know why. The only thing that I'd say was nice was the gluten free pancakes and the apologetic staff were ok.
