Wonderful campsite! Despite visiting between Christmas and New Year we had plenty of space. You’re properly in nature here.
There’s a security guard on the gate all night so you can arrive at any time. 
Clean toilets and good, cheap showers.
Easy access to Nelson for exploring the town and surrounding region.

Arrived without a booking and was excepted well. Owner gave us a heater because the basic cabin was very cold. Some parts of the camp were a little dark and dingy but it most people were nice. Pretty good value for money.

Great location, boats for touring the national park coastline literally across the road....can buy tickets etc at booths by campsite....campsite is huge, no need to book even in height of summer....lots of crying kids though! Decent size pitch...have to pay for showers, wash machine dryer etc on top so can be expensive

Nice large camping in the backgrounds of Nelson. Large spaces, big kitchen /living room. Showers/toilets a little bit older but clean.

$20 for an unpowered site in a beautiful setting with plenty of space. One of the best campsites we've been at in New Zealand over the past three momths. Also, FAST WIFI, you pay $5 per 10GB but it's definitely worth it if you need to do some serious browsing.
