Spent a week at the Quest and would happily stay again. Almost in the centre of Nelson so walking distance to everything. Comfortable rooms and good service. Parking around the area is at a premium so worth paying the extra for a parking spot. The management were very helpful when we had to change our booking because of a sick relative.
Great hotel. Easy 100 metre walk to great bars and restaurants. Comfy bed and clean. Serviced daily. Washing machine and dryer so handy after road tripping the south island.
Great price for a long weekend stay in Nelson. Such central mid town location. Handy to restaurants and bars in town. Kitchette is great.
Nicely located in central Nelson CBD it’s convenient and family friendly , quite fresh and still new hotel. The manager greeting us on arrival was very welcoming and checkin took no time at all. If you arrive by car make sure to pre-book parking , it’s $15 per night and spots are quite limited unfortunately. Reception is only manned from 8am to 8pm so if you arrive late make sure to contact reception.nRooms are clean and spacious and if you have family room you got master bedroom, kitchenette and lounge with enough space for entire family. Bathrooms are bit small, especially sinks are tiny and nowhere to put your toiletries. There is a washing machine and dryer which is bonus thing.nKitchen is well equipped with Owen, microwave, kettle, toaster and dish washer. Plenty of dishes , glasses and cutlery. Each room including lounge has a TV. Good , fast internet ! Air conditioning in each room.nThe only problem is the insulation and outside noise. You can hear everything from each person passing outside, which was a nightmare on Saturday night as drunk people from nearby pub were screaming until 3am and we couldn’t sleep.nHotel has room service cleaners but not operating on weekends and they are quite unfriendly. We asked for toilet paper and fresh towels and never got them plus got some strange comments that cleaners don’t work in the morning which is not what we were asking for. Overall if not for the noise it would be perfect stay.
Stayed 3 nights at the Quest, ensure you are aware that you need to book parking on site and that privilege will cost $15 per day. I booked through Qantas and couldn't find this information anywhere. On the advice of the staff we parked in the big car park at the back of the Quest and it didn't cost anything overnight. The room and hotel was clean, bed comfortable and quiet. Location is good and plenty of places to eat nearby.
