Awesome spot for $10 a night for a campsite! Cheapest site I have been to on my whole south island trip, definitely appreciated at the end of a journey. Toilet, cooking, charging facilities available and in good order. Nice little swimming hole just next to the camp, within a meandering river. Cicadas are loud as heck ~asof Jan22. To the point my ears hurt. Nice spot to chill with whanau or friends before or after the cook straight crossing.

Very cheap. Good quality. Little far away. Really good swimming spots. Money well spent. NO FIRES

As a cyclist I don't think this campground is worth it? Sure $10 isn't much but they have all these sneeky extra costs like $2 for 6mins shower $$$ for the WiFi $4 extra for power which isn't much but if you want to skip that and charge the phone go to the "office" which isn't that safe to leave your device there it's a shed basically. If your on a bike I would go up the lake and find a spot up there quiter and out of site out of mind approach. I would rate it a meh... :/
