BrisStyle is one of the pillars of the Australian maker community! The support they provide to makers and creative business is inspiring. I've had the pleasure of attending BrisStyle's Create + Connect conference for 2 years running, and it is one of the most well organised events I've been to. We need more organisations like BrisStyle supporting our creative community! Thank you!
I have been a stallholder at BrisStyle markets since 2016 and they host the best handmade markets in Brisbane. This organisation supports local makers and artists to build their brands and business, not only through the fabulous markets but also through a program of insightful and educational workshops and networking events. They foster a wonderful community of like minded people who are super supportive and inclusive. Belinda and Diana are very friendly, professional and organised and go way above and beyond to help small businesses. My business wouldn't be where it is today without BrisStyle! <3
I've been an active member of BrisStyle and its markets and events for 6 or 7 years now ,and they are in my opinion, some of the best Artisan markets in Brisbane. Events are well advertised and the girls - Bel and Diana are professional, organised and efficient, even under pressure. They are friendly and approachable and as a stall holder at almost every market they have ever held, there is a consistency of beautiful wares, variety of artisans and a lovely sense of community amongst the members. I happily recommend BrisStyle to customers and small business owners and love participating!
I started a small one-woman ceramics business in January 2018. I approached the BrisStyle team who were very helpful and friendly and I was accepted as a member of their makers community and was made to feel very welcome. Whenever I had a question, all I needed to do was to shoot a quick email and one of the co-ordinators either Bel or Diana always responded quickly. I participated as a stall-holder at the BrisStyle Christmas market in December 2018, and I was very impressed by the hard work that Bel and Diana had invested into making this market a success. I could see Diana working hard throughout the day to ensure that everything ran as smoothly as possible. I am taking a break from my business to care for my very ill mother, but when I return to making, I look forward to engaging fully in BrisStyle markets again. Thank you so much Bel and Diana for all of the support you showed me as a new business operator.
What can I say really.......if it weren't for BrisStyle I wouldn't be where I am today!!! This organisation is absolutely exceptional in terms of creating, planning and implementing events as well as generating a lovely sociable, community atmosphere both in person at markets, craft workshops, committee meetings etc as well as online. I would highly recommend any creative peep in Brisbane apply for this fantastic community! I cannot thank you enough BrisStyle. Keep on rockin on! xxx
Wow where do I start ..I have been shopping at these fab markets for years and then a couple of years ago I decided to sell through them myself. The BrisStyle team make the whole process of market selling for first timers so easy. Their support and patience has helped me grow my confidence as a seller and a maker. I can't recommend these ladies enough , professionals through and through.
Literally the best craft markets in Brisbane - either as a stall holder or a shopper. The organisers are the most professional, caring and helpful marketeers around - always organised and always doing their best for makers and shoppers alike. Brisstyle is an amazing organisation that has helped so many small businesses develop over the years and their markets are second to none.
I’ve been a member of brisstyle for about 5 years now. Belinda Harris is such a hard worker and has gone above and beyond in helping creatives to establish themselves in the southeast qld arts scene. Belinda has been with brisstyle since the beginning and has personally assisted myself along with literally hundreds of others to present our work confidently to the public, especially thru the brisstyle markets. I’ve learnt how to sell online, at the marketplace, how to present my work in such a way as to be noticed by other larger market organisers and conventions to do with Handmade. As well as having the oppportunity and training to conduct craft workshops. I’ve learnt so much being a part of brisstyle and come so far in my creative journey because of it. Brisstyle is also run by volunteers, behind the scene who do it for the love of handmade. And what makes brisstyle unique is the members. They all play a part in making it work, helping each other out. It really is a creative community. I’d highly recommend brisstyle to anyone interested in the Arts.
Always a pleasure to be involved with BrisStyle. The girls in the office do a wonderful job of organising the markets and other events and activities, with good communication being central to this well-oiled machine. The members ensure that this is a supportive and nurturing community of makers and creatives. Absolutely one of a kind!
It has been nothing but amazing being a BrisStyle member over the last couple of years - Belinda & Diana are extremely helpful, understanding and supportive to the creative community and I could not have picked better market organisers for my business.
