Nice day trip especially if they are firing the cannons. Nice to see the history of Brisbane preserved. While you can explore the grounds on your own, the tour is much better and you get to see and learn a lot more

Fantastic place to visit that has an exhibition of wartime vehicles and firing of the canons. Friendly staff and well kept area. A must see for all who enjoy nostalgic events

Good place to visit with family. Has guided tours and reenactments. Shows Brisbane and Qlds history since white settlement. Many clubs use the facilities for events so you never know what else you might see. Canons are fired so people sensitive to noise need to be aware.

Great place to visit and have a walk around. The only extra thing it could it a few more shady spots to have a sit down.

Well run place with friendly and informative staff who can give you some background and history to the place. Should you choose to you can also just roam around on your own and check out the fort and guns. It's a great little hidden gem with some interest history. If you go on the right weekends you can also see (and hear) them firing the guns. Great fun for families and a good way to connect with some local military history. Recommended!
