YMCA Boroondara Sports Complex (BSC) offer a wide range of programs to cater for all of your Health & Fitness needs. BSC has a fully equipped gym with free weights, cardio and weight training machines. BSC also offers a range of Group Fitness Classes including Cycle, Zumba, Yoga & Pilates. Our fully equipped Aquatic Facilities include an outdoor 50m heated pool and seasonal program and dive pool.

Very disappointed with our recent experience at Boroondara Sports Complex.nnOur group of around 40 people had booked several courts to play different sports. We have booked this venue many times before, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing.nnOur football court was booked until 3:00 pm. At approximately 2:10 pm, a male staff member came over and asked us when we would finish. We simply replied that we would play for a few more rounds. We answered him politely and did not show any rude or negative attitude.nnHowever, he returned several times asking us to pack up. What was most disappointing was that he sarcastically mocked our response by repeating, “Umm… maybe a few more rounds.” We were simply answering his question, so there was no reason for him to mock us or speak to us in that manner. It made us feel looked down upon and disrespected.nnWhen he came over again asking us to leave, one of us asked, “Isn’t our booking until 3:00 pm?” Only then did he say he would check. As a staff member, it should be your responsibility to know or verify a customer’s booking before repeatedly asking them to leave. If he was unsure, he could simply have checked the booking system or politely asked us to confirm our booking time instead of making assumptions and repeatedly interrupting our game.nnWhether or not he apologised afterwards, that does not change the fact that customers should never be mocked or treated disrespectfully. Good customer service is about communicating professionally, even when there is a misunderstanding.nnThis is not the first time we have booked Boroondara Sports Complex, and we have generally had good experiences. Australia is a multicultural country, and every customer deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect regardless of their background.nnI hope management takes this feedback seriously, investigates this incident, and ensures staff receive appropriate customer service training so that no other customers have a similar experience.
Courts are decent, but it's difficult to get one due to how much they're booked by other activities. That said, the nets could do with being replaced. The gym needs work as well. Everything there is fine, and I respect that it's a small space, but they're missing a couple of crucial machines that would greatly elevate the experience. A pec deck and a low seated row would be a start. These could probably go in place of a couple of the treadmills or bikes.
We use the basketball courts. Great venue. Courts need more regular cleaning as they are dusty and slippery.
The gym equipment is quite outdated, and you often have to improvise to complete a proper workout. There’s also been an ongoing issue with a broken water faucet that’s been out of service for months. In its place, a temporary water tank has been set up, which creates a mess—wet floors and a slippery area that doesn’t feel safe.nnI can’t comment on the rest of the centre, but the gym facility itself could definitely use some attention and improvement.
Facility is nice and clean. I enjoy coming to this stadium. But this time, customer service is below standard. The tall guy at reception today was impatient and impolite. Needs to show more respect when dealing with customers.
