I was very pleased with the service except for the fact that my front 2 wheels have had almost every single wheel nut casing stripped and I'm unable to even get the tire iron onto some of them.
Went in for a puncture repair in a rear tyre and wheel alignment, was told the two punctures were too close together to repair so they had to replace the tyre standard practice. However on replacing the tyre they only inflated it to half the required PSI, failing to check the other tyres, ask what I usually run on my tyres or even checking the psi suggested on the manufacture plate. When I questioned this they told me the psi I run is too high. I then explained the weight/ distribution in my van and they agreed the psi I run is correct.nnTwo weeks after this ‘wheel alignment’ I noticed the outer edges of my two front tyres were completely bald and unsafe the inner edges were untouched/had usual wear. I knew this was a wheel alignment problem as I hadn’t changed terrain/style of driving/weight/psi or braking habits. I called and let Bob Jayne t mart know this has happened and they attempted to tell me it was because I was going too fast around corners. I have owned and driven this van for over two years and have NEVER had the problem on uneven wear on my tyres. At this stage I urgently needed my two front tyres replaced. As I was in Melbourne I went I to a Bob Jayne there and they contacted the Launceston branch after running another wheel alignment and realising it was wayyyy off and requested a refund or at minimum two new tyres. They agreed to pay for ONE. So out of pocket I paid for a new wheel alignment, a new tyre and labour because of the incompetent staff at Launceston Bob Jayne tmart. I asked how this happened and they blamed the ‘new hire’ or ‘younger blokes’. Overall I’m disappointed in the condescending comments and lack of quality work of this branch. They cost me hundreds of dollars and a lot of time wasted.nnThey also don’t stock the high quality tyres I usually get so I had to also downgrade the quality of my tyres due to their mistake
I had paid a deposit for new tyres and returned on the scheduled day to pay the remaining balance and requested a wheel alignment at the same time. However, I was only charged for the wheel alignment, not the balance of the tyres.nnWhen I pointed this out, I was told I had already paid in full. What followed was a frustrating experience where multiple staff members looked at the system with no clear resolution. Despite showing my invoice, which clearly indicated I had only paid a deposit, the issue wasn’t addressed properly until the manager eventually intervened and processed the remaining payment.nnIt would have saved everyone time—and avoided an unnecessary dispute—if someone had simply reviewed the invoice when I first raised the issue. Instead, I felt like I had to argue just to ensure they received the money they were owed. Honestly, I considered just walking away. I won’t be returning.
From the moment I walked into the Store until the moment I picked up my vehicle the service was first class and very professional.nI called in after work on Monday and talked to the very friendly and knowledgeable Joe.nI was given a price on 4 new tyres for my Subaru Forester which I was very happy with.nI picked my vehicle up after work on Tuesday after having my tyres fitted and was very well looked after by Wade.nWade explained that I would receive a text message in 3 months to bring my car back to the store so as they can check the tyres and ensure that they were wearing ok.nI would highly recommend Bob Jane if you are looking for friendly and professional service and a good deal.nnCheersnChrisn
Had serious issues on the highway friday arvo just before the long weekend and they got me out of trouble immediately. Well priced, everyone was smiling. No issues. Highly recommend.
