Seeing glow worm is a nice experience. But still believe that it doesn't worth $55. Hope they better change the price.

Buckle your seat belts boys and girls, in one long paragraph I'm going to teach you a thing about glow worms that I only learnt myself 1 hour ago. Sit down, buckle up and prepare for my eco loving rant: Firstly, the guide's name is Jorchen. He has the whole 'namaste' vibe going but wears deodorant. Super down to earth. This guy knows his stuff! Our group threw their best high school biology questions at him and he nailed them better than Federer at Wimbledon. He has better hair than me and wears khaki so you know this guy is legit. I wanted to see worms because they were pretty, glowing things but these little dudes are the most amazing insects (thats right insects, not worms. Jochen taught me that). Secondly, there is something super peaceful about taking a late night stroll through the forest and it wasn't as "slenderman-ish" as first thought (10/10 for date night lads) Thirdly and finally, the sights were something you have to see for yourself. Your camera will never compare to the blue pictures stored in your memories. I never thought I'd be raving about a bug whose ass glows but here I am. If you're considering this tour I 10/10 highly recommend it!

Not sure what to expect when we went but it was totally mind-blowing. We went on a misty wet evening and the conditions were perfect to see the glow worms come out en-made. We had a 6 person group which was the ideal size. The tour guide is competent, knowledgeable and attentive. We were even allowed to get very pup close to look at the worms themselves. Highly recommended.

The glow worms were not very active the night we went. This coupled with the regular tour guide being ill didn't make for a great experience. Not worth $55 each. Especially when you can see glow worms for free in an abandoned train tunnel at Newnes near Lithgow. We did this the day after The glow worm tour and the tunnel was spectacular. Like the night sky but all around you. I would recommend this over the glow worm tour. The tunnel also has the advantage of being accessible during the day.
