Majority of the bus drivers driving these buses are normal bus drivers. But it only takes one rude bus driver who yells at you for no good reason when asking a confused question to ruin your experience. Its evident that even though most bus drivers are fine, the customer experience is not front of mind for the company. Not only that but the bus driver had disregard for the law as he was not displaying his drivers license. This raises huge concern for me about this company if they blatently allow their staff to disobey the law.

One thing that makes the Blue Mountains service stand out is the consistently excellent service by the drivers. They are courteous and friendly and they can transform even the most mundane trip into something worthwhile with a smile or a quip. There may have been occasions in the past when I have encountered rude and unpleasant drivers, but it seems now they have taken up at another terminus. Just to illustrate how helpful and empathetic the drivers are, please accept my experience from Monday 11 September. On Mondays I do what I call the "shuttle", where I get the bus to Springwood, dash into the chemist and the paper shop and catch it for its return trip to Winmalee shops. So here I am on Monday morning, sitting at the bus stop waiting to complete the second part of my journey. While I was waiting I thought I would respond to a text I had just received and became so engrossed in it that I looked, up, saw a 69...and leapt in, believing that as I was on my way to Winmalee shops I could finish my text on the trip. Imagine my horror when I finally finished and looked up. This was NOT Hawksbury Road -instead all I got were views of the highway approaching Valley Heights station. I jumped up and pushed the button furiously and explained to the driver (rather shamefully and acutely embarrassed) what I had done. He set me off at the stop at the bottom of the bridge and I took stock. Guess I will walk back to the station and get the train, realising that I had missed my bus and would have to wait another hour now. My head was full of expletives aimed at my not-so-good self as I trudged back up the railway bridge. Feeling very down, imagine my surprise when I heard a bus behind me. It was the return from Penrith and he had been contacted by Mark, the driver on my bus, who told him what had happened and to watch for me. I could have kissed them both as I boarded this bus and very quickly, found myself restored to Springwood and buoyed up by their kindness, convinced that the world was a far better place for bus drivers who look after their passengers, no matter how much of a dill the passenger may be. Thank you Mark and thank you to the driver who rescued me on Mark's initiative. As to the comment about the buses being in the 70's -I think that surely must be a compliment because the 70's marked the time that Australian companies suddenly realised that good service meant more business and if they want to perpetuate that concept (as they obviously do) that is fine by me! It is far better to have experienced drivers who are committed to their jobs than the modern day service people who are more interested in talking on their mobiles than doing their job properly and wholeheartedly. Once again, bravo Mark -the champion of old ladies everywhere! Gold star!

Worst bus company the western Sydney area. If you need a realisable source of public transport, do not go with this company! Waited for a bug, got here 10 minutes early, and still here 10 minutes later, and didn't even show up. Poor effort. And don't even get me started on their weekend timetable. Is this company stuck in the 70s or something? They need to lift their game up. Very poor service!
