Had our wedding reception they on Monday 30 April food was very poor mashed potatoes very dry and lumpy guiness pie pastry very hard and not much taste. One of my guest asked for a if she could change the mash and veg for a chips and salad told no. Also 1hr before getting marring they rand to say we had to pay a 150 dollar booking fee? We paid but the room we had was the normal dining room and they let other customers in to eat? So it was not a private functional from then on we booked 1 week in advanced and delivered the cake that lunch time and spoke about seating requirements to the manager she said nothing about the 150dollars

Came to the Blacksmiths for Mothers day...told we could not order until 2pm ?????????? Im a chef and never have I heard that the kitchen cant serve normal menu items!!! When we could finally order we were told that the normal menu wasnt available as its Mothers day....ummmm what again????? To bad if we didnt want items from the Mothers Day over priced boring menu. We were promised entertainment...instead a guy who was way out of tune who was sitting in a corner was what we were given...he took a break...i think he went home was a long break. So we will not be back...the food has never been acceptable...and the bar staff are plain rude I wouldnt bother with this pub.

Nice food great service. Only things I didn't like was 1 they only bad 1 eftpos machine so the girls at the bar had to go and get it from another area and 2 the have a $10 minimum for eftpos. I have never been in a pub that has that. Get with the times
