Really excellent service and food. The corn fritters were the best I've had anywhere! They have a kids play area tucked away down some stairs which is really great for keeping the kids entertained and not running around everywhere. There is also a table in the kids area if you want to sit there and keep a closer eye on the kids. When I was there, a woman fainted from the heat and I think the staff handled the situation perfectly.

Wow wow wow! Wonderful surprise in this small and friendly town. Best salads we’ve had after a month of traveling in NZ, and the almond cake will be talked about for days. Great option for vegetarians or just a light, fresh, and flavorful meal after days of pies. Super friendly folks, lovely outdoor seating, and refreshing cafe ambiance inside.

Excellent food excellent coffee excellent service. Busy and great comfortable atmosphere. A bit of a wait for food but it was worth it. Great selection of food from light snack to the best eggs Benedict! And delicious corn fritter on brioche with holandaise and bacon

We arrived well before opening hours and the cafe owner opened up just for us. He made us a great coffee and proceeded to cook our breakfast while we waited by the fire. Our food was tasty and cooked beautifully. We also bought a roll for later (which was also very nice). We would recommend this cafe without hesitation. Pity we can only give 5 stars.
