Fantastic restaurant with an amazing view of Noosa Main Beach to match. Loved the calamari, eye fillet & one/two pan seafood spaghetti. Seafood was fresh & delicious. The mango cheesecake dessert was the perfect finish to the meal as it was very light with no crust.nnWe had efficient and friendly service from our lovely waitress Tatiana and the whole team. The atmosphere was relaxed and nothing was too big a fuss. Food was well paced and we only waited about 5 minutes for our entree.nnWill definitely be back!nnNote we had a bit of difficulty finding the restaurant from Hastings St. You need to look out for On The Beach Apartments and the restaurant is located in the arcade beneath it. It is easy to find the arcade from the beach Boardwalk side.
There is a reason why you need to book this place weeks in advance. It’s a Noosa institution. For a place that is quite literally on the water, you could forgive them for mediocre food or service - but not Bistro C. Even after all these years they have never dropped their game. The food is great quality and cocktails are always sensational. That spicy coconut marg is a must! The seafood pasta was sooo good. Even the potatoes blew my mind. They are also very welcoming of families and kids which can be rare. Thank you to the team for exceeding expectations.nnHave visited Noosa Heads if you haven’t visited Bistro C?
A must visit that reflects the lifestyle, ambience, produce of Noosa and surrounds. I had the kingfish sashimi with buttermilk cream...melt in your mouth, sweet succulent kingfish, and then the crispy skin barramundi. Perfect serving size, fish cooked to perfection, juicy and untouched with seasoning to showcase the flavour of the fish. I also tried the coconut kaffir tapioca pudding; lovely but could not detect the kaffir lime. The staff were attentive, efficient and friendly. I have loved visiting this restaurant each time I have visited. Never disappointed. A must visit for anyone visiting and wanting a lovely dinner.
Best restaurant to visit when holidaying in Noosa! Food was delicious and the views make this place worth it. It’s quintessential Noosa.nnI particularly liked the coconut chicken salad and have already tried to recreate it at home. Plus service by the maître d was great.nnWe looked at the ‘must visit’ places before our holiday and tried this, Sum Yung Guys & Flo’s Creperie… Bistro C was soo much better, I would not go back to the other ones again.
Early dinner for our son’s 13th Birthday and we were welcomed in an energetic manner including a ‘happy birthday Legend!’ from the Maître D. Surprisingly busy for a 5.45pm seating but understandable in school holidays and the atmosphere reflected that with quite a few families in.nnA simple no fuss ciabatta for a shared entrée in a beautiful corner setting for four with a great outlook served before drinks arrived, local cervezas and their refreshing frozen watermelon margaritas.nnA well-appointed kids menu offered up small and upsized versions of which the later gave the youngens three battered local & fresh flathead bits with fries in generous portion sizes that kept them busy. Mains for the oldies of the eye fillet and barra were again well allocated and nicely plated. Can be scary when such a piece of red flesh is requested as med/ well but this was executed to perfection along with all of the other elements on both plates, even with complex arrangements on each. Proteins were melt in the mouth and paired beautifully with the usual suspects accompanying the steak, the horseradish cream a standout wholly complementing the jus and beef. I really was torn on the seven carded mains and the sound of the ‘special’ fish dish landing on the coral coast barramundi. I was excited about the fusion of fish roe spread with Japanese spice blend as I’d never had that combo before but it was a pure delight with the delicate fish and veges. The addition of the perfectly seared scallop with subtly sweet, but distinctive wakame added to the Japanese undertones of an Aussie classic fish meal. Sides that arrived unfortunately near the completion of mains weren’t required such was the substantial portion sizes but the gympie beans with goats curd would be a cracker with a light lunch or addition to an entrée for a more substantial feed. Needless to say the boys bottomed out the fries with ease also. No room left for a third course.nnOur first stopover at Bistro C after many a holiday up from Brisbane and certainly will be on our list for future visits having redeemed our faith in the family friendly high-end Noosa culinary scene after an ordinary experience the night prior at a supposed ‘5-star Restaurant’ out the back in Noosaville on the creek.nnFour and a half stars here and only missed out on supremacy due to the delivery timing of drinks and sides.
