Went there for lunch. Salad was excellent. Attentive staff. Awesome service. I was quite impressed with speed of service. Will definitely go back soon. Highly recommended.

Went to Bird on a Wire (Takapuna store) for lunch today - great experience. Really friendly service, the food came quickly and everything we ordered was delicious! The fried chicken especially was awesome - definitely not to be missed!! Will definitely be back soon :)

I did NOT enjoy my poached eggs on toast and had I not been hungry would've only had less than half. If poached eggs then they should be runny anything less may as well be classed as "well boiled eggs". I don't know what they used in terms of water to poach the eggs but I had to spit part of this out as it didn't taste right. Nice place and looks great though which is what the one star is for! Note they have a 15% surcharge on ANZAC day.

We wandered around Takapuna looking for somewhere nice to eat. As it was a public holiday the whole area was buzzing and it took ages to find anywhere and we ended up here. I kind of wanted to not like this place, but I couldn't. The service was great, the food was excellent, the venue was fresh, new and really cool. I definitively recommend going here.

Glad that Bird on a site are expanding, this is a great place for good chicken, without the batter and lovely salads. However it is expensive $30 for a whole chicken, when they are less than $10 in the supermarket. This Bird on a wire is in a shared alley with it's own seating but also a shared area is available. Toilets are available but you need a pass to open them as the walkway is very public. Gluten Free options available.
