We visited the Museum today and were very impressed with the layout, ample parking, and quality of the property and displays.....well worth a visit for anyone with an interest in the engineering aspects of vehicles as well as being able to view rare vehicles....highly recommended as a point of interest.

Having a 3yo son who goes mad when you start talking about cars, I was keen to take him to the motor museum at Binalong, which I drove past regularly for work. It was a good trip, but for such a small museum, and such a young boy, perhaps not really worth the drive. He loved looking at the cars, especially the engine cutaways (which I was surprised about), but I would have been happier taking him there on the way somewhere else, rather than making a special trip from Canberra for it. If you're passing along the Hume Highway, it would certainly be worth the diversion. The old Chrysler had me fascinated for ages, and there were some interesting stories on the information boards. Oh, and don't be misled by the 'Closed' sign out the front. I was disappointed to see it, but the manager was in the yard and waved us in. I don't think the sign is ever taken down!
