This place is continually improving. Even if you've been here before (as i have) there is more to see. The gift shop has been fully upgraded so if you're a train buff.... get down there!

We went to the Thomas the Tank Engine exhibit and loved it. The old trains are beautiful and you can walk through them. You can go on a coal train that’s on and HOT! Very good day out with the kids.

Almost 60 steam engines were on display. We went after 3.30 so we missed the last train ride available... the kids really loved the exhibits and we could get inside and check out a few pig them. It was interesting to read the story behind every train on display.

Visited during the 2018 festival of steam. Well organised and planned event, plenty of volunteers helping out. Many interesting exhibits, 5 locos in steam including the freshly painted 3526. The only downside was poor quality food from a vendor. Great day.
