Benalla Station - Above and Beyond. On Monday November 14th, my wife and I arrived at the Benalla Station en-route to Yarrawonga. The station staff Alan and Lucy advised us that the coach to Yarrawonga was cancelled because of the floods. Alan and Lucy went out of their way over the next half hour or so to find alternative means of transport so that our booked accommodation at Yarrawonga would not be lost.... including contacting the Yarrawonga police to assess the roads. After much research and many phone calls they eventually found that we could head up to Wangaratta and catch the school bus to Yarrawonga - all at no additional cost to us. The travel worked perfectly for us and we made our accommodation easily. For the third time in our public transport travels over the last six months, the staff at Benalla Station have gone above and beyond with customer service - thank you.
Really fascinating train station, love how it has the old train pictures and paintings with information as well as a model carriage from The Spirit of Progress. Station staff were helpful for directions, overall would definitely recommend this station. However the only negative I have to add is that the train is delayed or cancelled on a near frequent basis.
Ladie with blonde hair that works there, was no word of lie, one of the biggest backstabbing people I've ever had to endure to watch & listen too
The station itself is fine but the subway tunnel is the creepiest thing ever, filled with spider webs.
Court train from Melbourne to Benalla 13 April very disappointed they didnt anounce what stations were coming up next .Not happy .
I always find the staff at Benalla very helpful and friendly. A nice and safe railway station.
