9th october 2024 , had a appt at courtnBeenleigh Qld ..drove 250 klms from maryborough Qld arrived court 8.30am as per asked , about 100 people waiting another 45 mins , before we told court not opening today 9th october ...nTold to make another appt at a table they said , near us , so we did ... for november 2024 .. how deplorable is that , many people would of taken day off work , lost pay etc & have to do same within another 2 weeks ...we lost travel $$$ motel overnight $$ .. etc ...time ..nWhat more can i say, beware beenleigh court Qld ........
Admin people are reasonable, but has no system at all, all day cases ordered to turn up at same time and wait even multiple hours. Judge was overloaded, frustrated even say rude. Expected more from the Australian Court System.
where in gods name is any reasonable parking?
Had to contact administration staff, was an awesome experience, staff were polite, informed and knowledgeable, and the issue was worked out with zero stress in a few minutes. Wish all government departments were this pleasant to deal with.
I was very surprised how different it was to the one I have been to previously which is Holland Park mag. From the office staff to the security staff who jump in your face to ask what you are requiring and to the nasty pack of magistrates known far and wide for their tempers and their own personal dislikes of particular crimes. isn't that discrimination?? Beenleigh, the security - respectful and assisting. The clerical staff- human beings that spoke to you and actually assisted. Then the bailiff, even the prosecutor were civil and helped to maintain order and even my judge a lady was nice enough to pause to explain a quick query of mine. She didn't yell at me, bring on extra charges or embarrass me by kicking me out of the court to have a very informal chat with my wife for 7 minutes. I personally think some of what I have stated be investigated and some Magistrates stood down.
