Anyone wanting to get their passport renewed, DO NOT GO TO AUSTRALIA POST BEENLEIGH.nnMy brother was needing to RENEW his passport as we are travelling in a few months. We did his application online and got it printed to take in store. It clearly states on the Australia Post website that you DO NOT need to book an appointment when renewing an adult passport. In addition, we also visited this exact store the week before and was told the exact same by one of the tellers.nnSo tell me why we go in today with all the paperwork and identification required, only to be rudely spoken to by the older blonde lady with glasses and told we need an appointment. I explained that we were told by another worker that we didn’t need one, only for her to abruptly interrupt me and say “well you need an appointment”.nnWe were then told they had no other appointment times today and that we had to go somewhere else. Decided to go to Loganholme and beside a minor hiccup with my brothers signature, the beautiful lady had his application done and signed within 5 mins.nnAfter reading the reviews, it seems many people within the community have a problem with this lady. Australia Post Beenleigh needs to reconsider her employment.
My goodness, the other complaints I have read must all be about the same lady older, blonde hair and glasses. She is very rude to customers including me and another lady. The lady went to pick up her mail and this teller told her it was at Yatala, the lady obviously needed more assistance but the teller wasn't going to offer any more help. When it came to my turn, I said I have an appointment to renew my passport, she said I need to wait as the previous person wasn't done yet, which is fair so I waited and then she was so rude to me practically threw my documents back at me as one was correct. So I said I would rebook, unfortunately I don't need the booking now and can't contact anyone to cancel. This lady then left the counter to go and have a smoke and was outside quicker than I was. Yet the store was full of customers and closed in an hour. She really is a horrible rude person who does no favours for Aust Post reputation.
By far the most incompetent post office. Their contractors frequently fail to complete deliveries returning them straight to the post office for collection, never even knocking and rarely leaving anything in the mailbox. Today went to the post office to pick up a parcel after they attempted delivery yesterday only to be find out it had been sorted incorrectly and they don’t actually know where it is. I can forgive mistakes but there is never any accountability or any attempt to resolved repeat issues
I don’t generally leave 1-star reviews, but service at this store yesterday was so bad that I feel I have no choice.nnI took in a parcel measuring 102 x 100 x 11cm, weighing 7kg to be sent to Western Australia. My wife had paid for postage using her business account with Australia Post.nnThe rules on Australia Post’s website state that domestic parcels must weigh less than 22kg, have no dimension greater than 105cm, and total volume up to 0.25 cubic metres. This parcel’s volume was 0.1122m^3.nnOver 4 different visits to this store I spoke to 5 different staff members, who told me that the parcel was”much too big” to be posted; that as well as length, the girth of the parcel has to be measured it doesn’t, that’s for international postage; that it didn’t matter that the dimensions had been accepted on the AP website; I could apply for a refund of the money spent to post the parcel; and finally, they would allow me to lodge the parcel “at my own risk” my words because if the parcel was rejected because it was too big there would be no refund.nnStaff members at no time measured the parcel, relying I guess on their own visual estimates.nnI politely asked to speak to the manager, and was told that she was on her lunch break; I said I would wait the 10 minutes until she was finished. After 15 minutes a staff member not the manager came out with an A4 piece of paper printed off the AP website stating maximum sizes for domestic and international parcels.nnAfter waiting in the queue for the fourth time, I pointed out that the rules stated that my parcel was within the size limits. I was informed that I had already been informed by other staff members that the parcel was too big, and refused to respond to my argument that the published rules indicated that me parcel was indeed well within the limits.nnI asked again to speak to the manager, and was told that she had other duties until the close of business 30 minutes. She never appeared to address my issue the whole time I was there.nnStill waiting for an apology, even though perversely the staff act as though I am offensive to them, and thus they have acted as if I owe them an apology!.
This place doesn’t even deserve a one star. The lady who served us was really rude. We asked for a digital copy of my son’s photo but she was like “did you ask for it?” How’s the customers fault when your stuff didn’t do the right thing the first place. And you expect me to spend another 22 bucks on another photo??
