0 star if possible. Received a parking fine while I was working with my client who has a disability I'm a NDIS support worker. I was managing my client and was not paying attention to the parking restriction. I contested the fine to which my efforts were denied even though I have explained that I was working at the time. Extremely ableist response unfortunately. Very disappointing. Regardless, I'll see you at court :
Put in online request for public tree prune. Nick from Citywide here this afternoon. Explained what could be and could not be done and why, in terms understood by this layperson. Very informative, helpful and friendly. 14.2 neighbour had hard rubbish to be collected, that since put out, had turned into very large pile. Approx. 10am saw 2 guys collecting the hard rubbish asked if they would be able to take small lounge someone had dumped and they said yes. Fantastic! Wanted to thank them with a six pack but by time I'd got it and raced back out front they'd gone. So thank you guys, great job!
I would love to bestow the honorary title of 'Pathetic' to Bayside Council, however despite their best efforts of buck passing and teflon shoulders, they do not deserve it. Parking fines during lockdown when the streets were empty, Council rate increases when the global property market went into decline, knocking back a communal Mountain Bike park based on environmental concerns and then building a hideous basketball warehouse instead, the list goes on.
ONE IS THE LOWEST I CAN SCORE - AVOID THIS COUNCIL and DONT SUPPORT THIS LOCATION UNTIL THEY SUPPORT PEOPLE SUPPORTING THEIR LOCAL BUSINESSESnn- when people speak about money grabbing and greedy councils - you don't think they are really like that but let me assure you they are.nnI am out of work, cannot get any support from centrelink or jobseeker - while I have a federal health care card - which gets me nothing at all - I was on foot desperately looking for any work from anywhere and was running to get back to my car - my fault and something I try to make sure doesn't happen.nnI applied for special consideration to this council who are disgusting and could have used their heart, humanity and common sense to help with a copy of my health care card to see if I could pay half and was advised this is outside their realm of considerationnnI encourage shoppers and tourists to AVOID THIS AREA, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COUNCIL and AVOID PAYING ANYTHING TO SUPPORT already overpaid tax payer public servants who have NO HUMANITY or COMPASSION for rate and tax payers that pay their salary
Predatory parking inspectors and unreasonable council response. Literally had just parked at Sandringham beach car park, and very little signage in regards to ticket requirements. Could not clearly locate ticket machines and just walk for minute to toilet. By the time I had reached the ticket machine we were already served a ticket. Officer knew they had done wrong but said they couldn't withdraw it and told us to appeal to council. Council rejected the appeal! $96 for taking just a few minutes to buy a parking ticket, ridiculous! Worst council living with fine money.
