It’s been a while since I have been here and was really impressed by my visit. There seems to be a whole new set of staff who were really friendly and clearly enjoyed working there. The food was also a real stand out. Barton Fink has had many food menus over the years but their current offering was super delicious and flavoursome. Will be back to try more.
Great bar. Open until late 1am on Sunday night when we were there. Service was fantastic, the cocktails were *chef's kiss*.
Had my birthday here and the staff made the night. From start to finish. It was super easy, they were accomodating and friendly. Can’t compliment them enough, I’d recommend this place purely for them. The bar itself is brilliant. Cool amd intimate inside area usually with a live act playing some quality tunes and a outdoor area to relax in. Full of the standard drinks but recommend asking the bar for a cocktail as they’ll give excellent recommendations as make a quality drink.
When I order an old fashioned, I do actually want to be able to *taste* the bourbon. If I wanted a lemon lime bitters slushie, I would have asked for that, instead of paying $20 for a cup of mostly ice. I truly could barely even take a sip without a block of ice falling on my face. I cannot remember the last time I sent something back, but I did with this drink. The bartender even tried to ~enlighten me~ as to *how ice melts*. It was remade with 'half' the ice, but was still a pretty poor excuse for an old fashioned. Can anyone tell me why none of my guy friends have been served 'slushie whiskey cocktails' at the same place?
I don't like the Barton Fink, in a cultural hub I find it classless. Last time I was there I had to intervene, a girl was in the front beer garden being man handled by a group of men. No security. She could have been obducted and no one would have batted an eyelid
Had a great night at Trivia and the food and drink was very reasonably priced and delicious. Highly recommended
Have only ventured here for drinks but love the chilled and relaxed vibe of this place. Staff are always easy going and place has a good atmosphere. It's nice to sit in the alfresco window on a sunny day and watch the world go by! Oh, and the live music is always a bonus too! Another top choice for bars along High street!
Really good vibe and drinks! Seemed really popular too! Unfortunately not much in the way of food though; not sure if this was the usual menu or not but there were only a handful of items. But plenty of other places around for food anyway
Had an amazing dining experience at Barton fink last night. The 7hr smoked pork ribs were DELICIOUS and so was the southern spiced cauliflower and Texan brisket chilli fries. I can’t wait to go back here and try more dishes off the menu! The staff were so accomodating and lovely. Great drink recommendations too!
We planned to have a surprise party here, the owner and chef were amazing with information and helping make sure everything was perfect and ready. Covid ruined our plans, but I know it would have been amazing and I can't fault them for the effort to make sure I felt comfortable with everything. Apart from that, the bar itself has a really cool vibe, great beer garden and different spaces, food options were interesting and the staff are ace!
