The donuts are incredible, but the veggie burger was a bit disappointing. It looked fantastic, but had very little flavour, even with Mac and cheese added - just tasted like oil. Much like the chips.

Ordered a donut top thickshake, young fellow placed the shake on the counter without any donut and didn't call out my order until 10 minutes later, then when I asked where the donut was he passed it over separate and said "I didn't have time". Thickshake was far from "thick", which is disappointing considering I played extra for it to be thick, may as well had a milkshake. Hot dog was alright.

The fillings was were tasty, and the glaze was nice. However, the donuts were a bit undercooked and tasted more like bread filled with extremely sweet toppings on it. The service was incredibly good and they recommended me what donut I should have, but the cashier gave us the wrong change. It was too expensive however if the quality was better, I would prefer this more than Krispie Kreme. I reccomend the Bueno donut as that had the most toppings and it suited the price ($4 each). It would be great if you gave out free samples after school ends.

Balwyn Canteen is fantastic, the food is tasty and fairly priced, and the team friendly and down to earth. If you want a great burger, tasty fish, amazing chips or even my favourite - cheese curds. Try Balwyn Canteen. They even make scrumptious doughnuts, freshly in store.
