It’s an absolute joke. On hold for 45 min , then the young lady, Kyle , could not understand my simple questions and kept putting me back on hold to apparently go and double check things! Ato Australian Taxation Office can not answer any of my tax related questions…are you for real?! Horrified by the non service, why do you even bother to have a help line if you take forever to answer phone calls and you answer to everything is “go to a certified accountant “ . Appalling service, I’m disgusted! It’s Australia not a third word Country, do your job!
I’ve had to call 2 times and staff extremely helpful and nice. I understand there is a long wait time but they call you back instead of holding, great feature.
This place is disrespectful to people who come from another country and want to work here, it's been more than 45 days waiting for a simple number from my TFN and no one can help me, you need to have more respect with people who come to your country to help them!
On hold forever on the phone and the staff on ato line could not answer any simple tax question…
Been waiting 4 months for my tax and the ato are not helping me at all
My accountant asked me to call ATO regarding a simple enquiry. On hold for 45 minutes. Then lady literally says "Oh, I dont know how to do that?". Wow. It's so easy to take our money. You spend billions on technology to 'catch us out'. Utilising complex algorithms linked to our TFN and banking institutions, so you can scavenge every single cent possible.. Why is it fine that you guys don't know the answer, but God forbid an Aussie citizen makes an honest mistake. When it comes to issues regarding returns, they don't care. Why aren't my tax dollars being used to train employees? Can you at least raise the standard to 'acceptable'. That's all we ask.
I have been on hold for 2 and a half hours now the office is closed what a joke
Very poor level of training, over an hour it took to find an answer for a question that I regretted asking it was very simple then only to find out that I need to speak to someone else which of whom is uncontactable so yeah, nice enough but not very helpful.
