We hired a Toyota Prado from Australian 4wd for our week-long trip to Fraser Island. The vehicle was in great condition and handled the tricky terrain with no issues. All the camping gear was excellent and it made outr stay on the island pleasant, despite the poor weather. Great customer service from the team at head office when we unfortunately had a mechanical issue- quickly had a mechanic sent out to the island to repair. Recommended to travellers looking to explore independently

We started from Melbourne with an Isuzu 4 WD RTT. The journey was 26 day long. It started on 18th December 17 and allowed us to visit many of the places of interest inside the Victoria. But there is so much to see there that we could have stayed much longer. This opportunity took us first to Tidal River in Wilsons Promontory National Park, then as main way points and stop overs to Rawson Forest, Jameison, Howqua Hills, Beechworth, Daylesford, Barramunga, Otway Forest National park, Portland / Narrawong, Halls Gap, then Back to Melbourne. The car was just right for the trip and it was a real new experience to use the Roof Top Tent. Strange at the beginning but very funny after all ,….. The RTT is basic but has the very advantage to be very easy to make up and also quite fast to fold back, increasing the mobility overall. Everything ran fine and the equipment provided in the car was exactly what we needed. We joined another vehicle on the same journey,.... Australian 4WD hire have been very helpful and professional all the way when needed. Specially their management of the hire upstream of our departure was thorough, well organized and documented so there was no issue later on. We simply had an amazing trip with no technical issue and no pressure at all from using the car. What a step change for us coming from France,…! Our only issue was a few days of rain that we did not expect at that time of the year and at that place,… We were very close to the environment and the wild life in the various parks visited. A trip that we will not be forgetting any time soon and that we sincerely recommend everyone to plan and do in a similar fashion. Thank you Australian 4WD hire !

Thank you for making our first Australian trip amazing.  My husband and I live in Alaska, United States, so I was concerned when renting a vehicle.  You answered ALL my questions.  When we picked up the vehicle, it was in excellent condition.  Brett was quite helpful.  He reviewed the vehicle and equipment with us.  THANK YOU BRETT!!!  We traveled over 7,000 km to see the Northern Territory.  The remote campsites were perfect for us, and because of the 4 wheel drive, we were able to see Australia and meet the Australian people.  We stayed in a different campsite every night for 15 nights.  The tent on top of the vehicle was so easy to set up each night.  And the rain came for 3 of those nights with heavy winds - not a single drop in the tent.  We were so impressed!!!  The refrigerator was ideal because it allowed us to go for days without visiting a grocery store.  I love picnics and each day we would find a remote area for my picnic. One of the picnics was at Old Andado Station.  SMILES!!!  We also visited many historical sites and learned a bit about your history.  THANK YOU!!  THANK YOU!!  Our deposit was returned within in 3 days.  And my husband was impressed with the gas mileage.  He said it was good!!!!  We will return to Australia and will be contacting your company again.

As a Professional Photographer, in order to perform the task at hand and to travel to remote places I require the best quality gear to get the job done. I recently hired one of Australia 4WD Toyota Hilux's and drove nearly 3,000kms around remote areas of Western Australia. Not once did I question the reliability of the vehicle. With a modern interface and comfortable interior it was easy to enjoy the long distances we had to travel to get our shots. The large ute tray back allowed us to fit all the necessary camping and Photographic equipment in that we needed with tonnes of space left over. The fridge we had was efficient at keeping food and drinks cold and the pop up stove was sufficient enough to cook up most simple meals, tea or coffee we needed while on the road. 
The pop out tent on the roof of the Hilux took me roughly 4 minutes in total to assemble each night , and about the same amount of time to dismantle in the morning. We encountered strong winds, rain and heat on our trip and the tent held its own in each scenario. The length of the tent allows space to sleep two grown blokes 6ft + tall with room.
The diesel model was fuel economic and the additional fuel can in the tray came in handy while on the road. 
I would recommend this company and its commitment to providing a quality vehicle at a respectable price. I will definitely be booking them again on my next Photographic adventure wherever that might be.

Hi Marina
thanks a lot for returning the Security- Bond that quickly. We had an awsome time heading from Cairns to the Tip. The Car was in perfect Condition and Peter and the Staff from Cairns- Depot were very friendly, helpful and professional on all our enquiries.
Having the FJ on that Trip was the perfect thing- could do all the exiting Tracks wich make the Cape this very special Place.
I will definitly get back to you on (hopefully) other occasions and will recomend you to friends travelling to Australia.
